Business Cards, Stationery,
and Envelopes

Business cards and stationery serve as essential tools for establishing connections and communicating the identity of Ateneo de Davao University. Through thoughtful design and consistent branding elements, we aim to leave a lasting impression on every recipient.

General Guidelines for the Design and
Production of Business Cards and Stationery

Adherence to Branding Standards

  • Business cards and stationery should incorporate the official Ateneo de Davao University seal, and other branding elements. Ensure proper placement and sizing according to the university’s visual identity guidelines.
  • Apply the university’s official color palette consistently across business cards, stationery, and envelopes. This creates a unified look and reinforces the brand’s identity.
  • Use the official typefaces designated for ADDU materials. Maintain consistency in font style, size, and weight to ensure readability and a cohesive aesthetic.
  • When appropriate, consider incorporating Mindanao textile patterns as a design element to celebrate the region’s culture and heritage. Use these patterns thoughtfully and respectfully, ensuring they align with the university’s visual identity.
  • The format for business cards is landscape. Business cards can be produced on your behalf by the ICommP who hold the artwork template.

Contact Information

  • Include essential contact details on business cards, such as the name, title, department, email address, phone number, and university website. For stationery, include the university’s official address and other relevant information.

Quality Materials and Finishes

  • Select high-quality materials and finishes for business cards and stationery. Consider options such as premium or vellum paper stock, embossing, or stamps for an elegant touch.

Design Harmony

  • Strive for balance and harmony in the design, ensuring that all elements work together seamlessly. Avoid overcrowding the space and focus on clarity and visual appeal.

Sustainability

  • Whenever possible, opt for sustainable materials and printing practices to align with the university’s mission for environmental stewardship.

Review and Approval

  • Before finalizing designs, review business cards and stationery and seek approval from relevant university authorities to confirm compliance.

Updates and Maintenance

  • Regularly update business cards, stationery, and envelopes to reflect any changes in university branding, contact information, or personnel. Maintain a current and accurate representation of the university.
