Strategic Actions:

A 10.1      Recruit and retain quality staff through systematic hiring procedures; regular performance appraisal; human resource development programs; and, periodic review of compensation and benefit packages to make them more internally equitable and externally competitive with other schools in Davao City.

10.2      Maintain good and harmonious relations between administration and unions as partners in pursuit of the vision and mission of the University.

10.3      Ensure long-term financial stability and sustainability of the University by generating and maintaining sufficient, recurrent operational surplus; and, pursuing non-tuition income to support the University’s vision-mission-goals. Financial systems, controls and procedures will also be reinforced.

10.4      Institutionalize University communications and promotions office for internal unity and external advocacy.   Implement a University communications plan that would intensify promotion of programs through various media; and, maximize the University website, ensuring that it has comprehensive, relevant and fast-loading content.

10.5      Maximize information technology to provide easy access to resources and provide support to learning and working on and off campus. Create the necessary guidelines, incentives and memoranda to encourage faculty, staff, administration and students to use available information technology resources.

10.6      Articulate, document, publish, strictly implement and check administrative procedures through a quality assurance system.   Ensure that all administrative systems and processes are transparent and accountable and are contained in updated manuals. Work for the full automation of systems and procedures to facilitate provision of quality services. Ensure document management procedures are in place for all units.   All these would also be done to preserve and profit from institutional memory.

10.7      Work for the long term improvement of our facilities. Observe quality assurance in the stewardship of University facilities, mindful of environmental responsibility and appropriate safety and security protocols.

F 10.8      Hold various consensus-building activities towards shared understanding of the common good, including events that discuss burning issues in light of the common good. Ensure tie-up of these activities with AdDU sui generis formation and the participation of AdDU sui generis graduates in these events.

10.9        Promote a campus ministry that provides liturgical, religious, spiritual and formative activities that are responsive primarily to the needs of the University community and, wherever appropriate, inspired by the cultures of Mindanao.

I 10.10     Ensure self-sustainability of all centers and institutes. Work that 50% of centers’ funding is sourced locally, nationally or internationally.

10.11     Ensure the use of planning and research tools for decision-making.
