Our Commitments

Key Performance Indicators

  • Mission modules integrated in curriculum, and nationally and internationally recognized or accredited
  • At least 20% of all programs are Level IV PAASCU
  • Faculty with globally competitive qualification — 50% of faculty with PhD; 30% of faculty published in refereed journals

Strategic Actions:

A 11.1      Ensure the presence of a working interface framework that exemplifies the symbiosis between formation-instruction-research and engagement. This also includes effective protocols between the academic, research and engagement councils and the formation cluster, including regular meetings. All programs and projects are directed and implemented as a result of the interfacing framework and protocols.

11.2      Set up structures that oversee the standards and quality of the programs that are glocally responsive and globally competitive with distinct integration of the vision-mission of the University.   Institutionalize a monitoring and evaluation scheme to track the progress and quality of the implementation of the strategies.

11.3      Strengthen recruitment activities and provide quality student services.

F 11.4      Develop and implement a continuing formation program for all staff.
I 11.5  Revise curricula and syllabi to integrate University mission modules and in order to meet international requirements. Such revision will also take into account national development priorities, meet the needs of the most vulnerable communities, and consider the demands of local government units.

11.6  Develop faculty through higher degrees and faculty exchange. Encourage faculty to participate in local, national and international events; and in industry and accredited professional organizations as trainors, resource speakers or consultants, by providing financial and capacity-building support as well as recognition and other incentives.

11.7  Build up faculty capability to use and maximize online teaching platforms towards the development of online distance learning programs.

11.8  Pursue internationalization appropriate to the University’s vision-mission-goals. Establish networks with international universities for linkages and partnerships around research and instruction.

11.9  Develop and articulate, through research and publication, a pedagogy that is mission–appropriate, distinctively Jesuit and technologically current.

R 11.10     Anchor the research activities of centers and institutes in the academic programs. Ensure the presence of a working research collaboration framework between concerned centers/institutes and departments.

11.11     Engage in creative and innovative ways in scaling up the quality of research and publication in the University.   Such efforts would also include strengthening external funding for our research work.

11.12     Articulate research and publication plans at the basic units.

E 11.13     Provide teacher-training programs for Jesuit Higher Education Institutions that are in the margins in Asia-Pacific.

11.14      Pursue an internationally collaborated advocacy plan among Jesuit Higher Education Institutions within Asia Pacific, around common issues.

11.15     Develop an archiving protocol and practice of the University’s engagements for sustainability and continuity of the programs and projects. Conduct regular assessments of the quality of University engagements.
